Joe Canavan

Joe was born in Glasgow, Scotland but has been a resident of the Peace Country for quite some time. Joe graduated in 2003 from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts and continued to received his law degree from the U of A in 2007. He received the Labour Law Prize in 2008 for his achievements at the University of Alberta and was later admitted to the Bar in August of 2008. Joe’s main areas of practice include family law, real estate, wills and estates, and corporate/commercial.

Joe is also active in the Grande Prairie community and currently holds the position of Disciplinary Chairperson of the Grande Prairie Soccer Association and is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing and coaching soccer, and cheering on the Oilers.
